FEES (From the Summer Term, 2006)

FEES AND HOW TO JOIN

There is a basic fee of Ł12 a year for every pupil taking individual lessons, which covers the provision of all notebooks and practice folders and the termly Newsletter - an essential guide to all Lingard services.

To take advantage of our services at discounted rates it is advisable to register.
You only need to register once - it lasts for life and covers the whole family.
Families who are registered for individual lessons with Lingard are exempt from all Group Activity joining fees. Other families can opt to either pay a Group Activity Joining Fee of Ł25.00 (a one-off payment which covers all family members for all Group Activities for which a joining fee is payable) or pay the higher non-registered rate. Children who are part of our ‘18 months – 18 years’ scheme (members of Mini Music & Music Clubs) are exempt from all joining fees including full registration for individual lessons with Lingard’s Music Tuition Service. You can register with us in two ways:

Option 1 - for individual tuition you need FULL REGISTRATION, which entitles you to these additional benefits:

* a termly Newsletter and calendar outlining the term’s activities as well as topical issues
* FREE Associated Board group exam preparation seminars to support the tuition you receive in lessons
* FREE examination entry service to all London based Examination boards
* FREE advice on the purchase of second-hand pianos and other instruments, based on our inside knowledge
* use of Lingard's experienced accompanists for examinations, auditions, competitions etc. at reduced rates
* Written reports (if applicable) on the progress you child is making twice yearly
* FREE registration to all Lingard clubs and group activities
* Opportunities to play with other children in various activities, including concerts, in both formal and relaxed local venues (subject to availability)
* discounted hire of The Lingard Quartet, The Lingard Quintet, and the Senior Jazz Band.

Option 2 - if you only want to join the JAZZ AND POP PROGRAMME or our THEORY CLUBS at the discounted rate.

All accompanying fees include one rehearsal, plus attendance at the examination itself, arranged at mutual convenience. The accompanist will be the instrumental teacher if possible, or a recommended Lingard accompanist. All fees are paid direct to the accompanist. The fees reflect the high level of professional competence required by the accompanist, as well as the time taken to prepare the music for the first rehearsal. Extra rehearsals may be booked as may aural test sessions.

JAZZ AND POP PROGRAMME SUBSCRIPTIONS

Jazz Family Registration Ł25

The Jazz and Pop programme offers young musicians from 'fluent beginner' to Grade 8 plus the opportunity to learn and develop skills in a friendly, fun and informative environment. We play Madonna to Robbie Williams, and Duke Ellington to Herbie Mann.
Fees include the provision of all music, the majority of which is specially arranged to suit each band's needs.

THEORY CLUB

Theory Family Registration Ł25

The Theory Club is designed to ensure pupils make quick and efficient progress in music theory. Lingard has been running these popular sessions for many years, and we have achieved a very high pass rate. The maximum teacher to pupil ratio is 1 to 7.
